What the LDW is
The Loss Damage Waiver is an optional add-on at $25 per rental day per van. When purchased and subject to its terms, it may limit your financial responsibility for eligible accidental damage to the Nation Van Rentals vehicle to $2,500.
What the LDW is not
- It is not insurance and is not liability coverage. It does not cover injuries or damage to other people or their property.
- It does not replace the qualifying personal automobile liability insurance you must provide. Purchasing LDW alone is not sufficient when liability coverage has not been verified.
Exclusions
The LDW does not apply in situations including the following. These are disclosed here and are not hidden:
- Unauthorized drivers
- Prohibited use
- Illegal, reckless or impaired driving
- Intentional damage
- False or misleading information
- Failure to report an incident immediately
- Failure to cooperate with Nation Van Rentals, police or insurers
- Misfueling
- Lost or damaged keys
- Interior damage
- Roof or overhead damage
- Undercarriage damage
- Tires, wheels and glass
- Theft when keys were not properly secured or returned
- Use outside the approved geographic area
- Any other exclusion clearly disclosed in the signed LDW agreement

If any summary on this website differs from the signed LDW agreement, the signed LDW agreement controls. Nothing here limits any rights you have under applicable law.
